The Spirit that Still Survives
The spirit of a soldier never dies,
For the hallowed ground on which he fought,
Will forever secure his heroism, there it lies.
Where nature chose to honor the actions that he sought.
The courage of every warrior survives in presence,
And valiance will strive on in its essence.
Where chivalry will forever be aspired,
And future generations soon to be inspired.
Remember the joy of laughter
Remember the pain of sorrow
Remember the time we used to be the best of friends?
Remember when we spent hours talking in the late afternoon?
Now those days have passed,
And I am no longer a part of your life.
As I walk by, you give me not even a glance,
What happened to all the promises you made me?
What happened to forever?
And now I can't even tell you how much it hurts,
Drifting further with each passing day.
And all those cherished memories, the ones I'll never forget,
Have been banished to this ocean of space between us
It's like those feelings never happened,
Those words never said.
Now and ag
Why does he do this to me? Play with my heart likes its a silly toy? I know it and he feels it. Time after time again. One day he's my ideal, the one who I wake up for in the morning, when every fiber in my body refuses to move. But the next he has betrayed our silent vows and I'm lying in the dark, cursing myself for thinking he actually cared. And all this goes on, all my pains and hopes, frustration and joy, without him even having the slightest hint of how big his presence is in my life. 3 years. To me it's 3 eternities. To him it's 3 seconds. 3 eternities of cherished memories. 3 seconds of harmless flirting. What am I to you? Please. Th
